  • Covid-19 update; Photography Workshops/ 1:1 Photography Tuition.

We are happy to announce that all our Photography Workshops and 1:1 Tuition are up and running again.

We are still advising caution and will take the correct action where we need to. therefore we ask if our Students/Customers, please wear a mask if you are coming into close proximity of other individuals whilst attending one of our Photography Workshops. We may also decide not to visit a regular cafe/coffee shop during a particular Workshop, if we feel the establishment isn’t suitable at the moment for our lunch/refreshments. Therefore we may ask you to bring a packed lunch.

If we do need to re-book your lesson/ Workshop due to Covid or any other event that is out of our hands, we will reschedule the date and time as soon as we can. We may need to change this date several times….
Please note; we are able to still run your lesson. Therefore we offer no refunds. Workshop participants, may wish to use their payments towards another Photography Workshop or 1:1 Tuition.

  • How many Students are on a Workshop at any one time?

We have no more than six Students at any one time. In fact many of our Workshops only have three/four places available. We pride ourselves in the quality of our Photography Workshops, that’s why we keep numbers LOW! We want you learn, we also want each Workshop to be enjoyable for everyone participating, low numbers mean the quality of teaching is better and every participant has ample chance to have some 1:1 Tuition during the Workshop.


  • How do I book 1:1 Photography Tuition?

Please get in contact with us, either by filling the Contact form or by text. We do like to have a chat with are Students, it helps us find out more about you, your Photography knowledge and what you would like to learn. After an initial telephone call, We will then arrange a date, location and time to meet you. Payment is made via Bank Transfer. If you wish to spread the cost please let us know. To book a £50 deposit is required and all remaining balances must be paid two weeks prior to your 1:1 Lesson.


  • I dont own a DSLR, can I still book 1:1 Tuition or a place on a Photography Workshop?

yes of course! Let us know what Camera you have/ kit and we can talior your 1:1 lesson for you. Obviously its fantastic if you do own a DSLR, however we appreciate the cost of owning one, especially if your new to Photography. For a small fee, We do have an entry level Nikon DSLR for hire during your 1:1 Tuition or Photography Workshop. The hire price doesn’t include a memory card. To hire our Nikon Camera, please get in touch.


  • What happens if the weather is really bad, will my 1:1 Tuition be cancelled?

    As you are aware, the British weather can be unpredictable. Every effort is made to make sure your 1:1 Tuition goes ahead. However, due to the nature of what we do, on occasion we do have to cancel and reschedule 1:1 Tuition. We understand how frustrating this can be, but we want you to enjoy your Lesson, so it would be impossible to teach Students properly if the weather was really bad. Please note; If the weather is dull or miserable/spitting this does not mean your Tuition will be cancelled, so please wear approximate clothing, waterproofs/ warm clothing.

    If your Tuition has to cancelled, we will endeavour to reschedule your Lesson as soon as we can. Any payments will not be refunded.


  • What happens if a Photography Workshop is cancelled?

    We try our best to ensure every Photography Workshop goes a head, but on occasion, we may have to cancel Photography Workshops, for various reasons. These may include; Sickness, weather, spaces not being filled on a Workshop or an emergency. If we do have to cancel a Photography Workshop, we will try to let you know as soon as we can, but we reserve the right to let you know on the morning of a Photography Workshop. (As sometimes, we may not know until the Morning). Students may put any payments towards another Photography Workshop/ 1:1 Tuition/ Gift Voucher. Please note; No refunds are made.


  • What happens if the weather takes a turn for the worse during a Photography Workshop?

    If the Weather takes a turn for the worse, we will do our best to continue the Workshop. We cannot be held responsible for the weather. We will take into consideration, the location and the duration. It may be possible to hold some of the Photography Workshop in a cafe/coffee shop for a short time, then carry on with the Workshop outside, once the weather has improved. If the Photography Workshop has to be cancelled mid way through, we will owe each Participant the time or discount any further bookings made. Participants may put payments towards a different Photography Workshop, or towards 1:1 Photography Tuition. Please note; No refunds are made. The final decision to stop a Photography Workshop lies with the Workshop Leader.


  • What happens if the weather takes a turn for the worse during my 1:1 Photography Tuition?

    If the Weather takes a turn for the worse, we will do our best to continue your 1:1 Photography Tuition. We cannot however, be held responsible for the weather. We will take into consideration, the location and how long there is left on your 1:1 Photography Tuition. It may be possible to hold some of your lesson in a cafe/coffee shop for a short time, then carry on with your lesson outside, once the weather has improved. If your Lesson has to be cancelled mid way through, we will endeavour to reschedule the remaining time left or owe you the time. We also reserve the right to change the location of your 1:1 Photography Tuition, should we have to reschedule mid way through. Please note; no refunds are made.


  • How do I make a payments to Emotive Capture?

    All payments are made via Bank Transfer.


  • Why do I have to pay a deposit to secure my place onto a Workshop?

    Unfortunately we cannot hold places on a Photography Workshop. A deposit secures your place. Please appreciate that we are business and dont like to turn down paying Customers when we are waiting for an individual to pay a deposit. It really is a first come and first serve basis.


  • Does the price of a Photography Workshop, cover any accidental damage to my Camera/kit?

    No, we do not cover the cost of any damage to your Camera or equipment during a Photography Workshop or 1:1 Photography Tuition. Your Camera/Kit is your responsibility. We can not be held responsible for any damage to any of your equipment.


  • How do I know if a Photography Workshop is suitable for my skill level?

    If your unsure if a Photography Workshop will benefit you, please get in touch. We are here to help! If we feel that a particular Workshop is unsuitable for you, we will advise you and make other suggestions. We do like to chat and introduce ourselves as well as find out more about your skill level. We may ring individuals before a Workshop takes place. This helps us to create a lesson plan for the duration of the Photography Workshop.


  • Do I need any Photography knowledge to book a 1:1 Photography Tuition?

    The answer is simply NO! We welcome complete beginners! The vast majority of our Students are beginners with no past Photographic experience or knowledge. Please be assured, every Lesson is very informal, so dont be afraid to ask questions, we are here to help you get the best out of your own Photography!

 
  • Do you issue refunds?
    Unfortunately we dont offer any refunds, Due to the nature of our business, often there are events/weather/ illness that are completely out of our hands. We may re-book/reschedule your Tuition/ Workshop, for reasons such as Covid/Bad Weather/ Illness or other event that is out of our hands. Students may also put any paid balances towards another Workshop or Tuition.
